Stuart Macfarlane - Vocals, keyboards & electric guitar

Greenockian by birth, Stuart began his musical bent with his brother Alistair, playing guitar along to Al's drums.

In 1979, Stuart joined Silverwing, which in its prime reached number 1 in the 'Sounds' Heavy Metal Chart. One album and a major tour with Diamondhead later, Stuart left to make a solo album and record an album with Big Amongst Sheep. Later, rejoining Silverwing, the band morphed into Pet Hate (touring with Hanoi Rocks), still with brother Alistair, recording 2 more albums. Had a rest in 1985 before forming Kick and then Afandou.

Jonty asked Stuart to Join Freeway in 1991, and he stayed while the band became The Fabulous Picasso Brothers, leaving in 1996. Stuart joined Storm in 1997 and they are still going strong in their current line up of Stu, Dave Kinley and Rob Wallace.

Another rest from 2002 to 2007, Stuart returned on keyboards and occasional guitar - Check out Stuart's Website

Stuart's musical influences are of course varied, from The Sweet, David Bowie, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Sinatra, Thin Lizzy, Elton John, Prince, Kiss, Paul Gilbert, John Waite, John Mayer, Nick Drake, 10CC, John Martyn to any number of other artists of any number of musical genres.
